Flying within India's Drone Rules, 2021

Airspace zones
India's airspace map on the Digital Sky platform marks areas as green, yellow or red. Green zones can generally be flown within the rules; yellow zones need permission from the relevant air traffic control authority; red zones need central government approval. We check every site before planning.
Registered drones and certified pilots
Commercial operations require drones registered on Digital Sky and pilots holding a Remote Pilot Certificate from a DGCA-authorised training organisation.
Insurance
Our operations carry third-party insurance as required for drone flights.

Safety on your site

  • Flights are scheduled with your site in-charge and follow your site's safety rules
  • Take-off and landing areas are kept clear of workers and traffic
  • We avoid flying directly over people where possible and pause flights when conditions are unsafe
  • Weather, wind and visibility are checked before each flight

Handling your site data

  • Your imagery and outputs belong to you
  • Files are shared only with people you approve
  • We don't publish images of your project without written permission
  • We can delete project data on request at the end of an engagement

Drone-based measurements and imagery support project review and decision-making. They complement, and do not replace, site engineers, licensed surveyors or other qualified professionals.
